Saturday morning, sun is shining, crisp cold air fills my lungs and I venture out to north Oshawa for a newborn session. After moving in ;) I was introduced to this little beauty. As gorgeous as she is, don't let these sleepy shots fool you. She is one feisty little girl! Amazing despite their size and lungs, how long babies are able to fight sleep. But in the end we won ( insert evil laugh here) lol!

Alexa had her Great-Grandpa coming to visit that same afternoon. What a blessing and joy for him! I am sure they had a wonderful afternoon together!

Blessed Session:: Ajax_Durham Region Family Photographer Petra King

As I've grown older I have come to deeply RESPECT and CHERISH all that our parents do for us. Being a parent and caring for another human being is one of the most greatest gifts that God has given to us. That said, I'd like to introduce to you my WONDERFUL parents! I am very proud to have such wonderful people I get to call mom and dad. Throughout the course of the year, all the laughter, love, tears and endless blessings that surround us all begins with a family. In today's society, all the devesation and hardships really brings home for me just how thankful I am for my family. My adoring, hardworking and loving husband. My beautiful and healthy children, my sister and neice and nephew and I can't forget my awesome friends. Had it not been for the up-bringing of these two wonderful people I wouldn't be the same person I am today.

So yes I am Blessed...

I hopped on the 401 yesterday and before long our session started with this little beauty! Meet Miss. Katie! She was a doll to photograph! Squishy, sleepy and cute as a button! Mom, Grandma and big sis were there keeping me company during the session. Thank you for allowing me to capture Katie at 12 days old! These memories will last a lifetime!

So now that Christmas is over, the tree is down, the house is back to normal and we are all into our routine/s again I for one am enjoying it. Don't get me wrong I had an amazing holiday. But it's always nice to get back to routine ;) Saying that my goal over the next 24 hours is to re-organize and de-clutter the kids toys. I can't stand clutter in my house. Just me..neat freak lol. But I had to play around with the new camera this morning and some Lego of course. Cheers Santa! Everyone LOVES Lego...well with instructions for all the cool new things to build these days. Sure wasn't as complicated when I was a kid! ;) Still hurts when you step on them though :D

2009 in review:: Ajax_Durham Region_Maternity_Newborn_Family Photographer_Petra King

What a year! I am so very blessed and lucky to work with such beautiful people. I love my clients, as well as all the memories that we made and to see the smiles on their faces makes my job so rewarding! Life goes by in a blink. A photograph is but a moment in time frozen. These are the moments we cherish, we love and reflect upon at how little our children were at one point in time, at how beautiful we really were pregnant with our babies and how precious life really is. 2009 is almost come to a close and I'd like to share some of the sessions I've done with you. Enjoy the next 6 minutes... I am very excited about welcoming 2010 with open arms. New and repeat clients, fun new products and some cool new collections too.

6 Sleeps till Christmas:: Ajax_Durham Region_Maternity_Newborn_Family Photographer Petra King

The hustle and bustle, the running of errands, wrapping of gifts, attending parties and lack of sleep has caught up with all of us I am sure! It's left me with a nasty cold this week but today I am starting to feel a little better :) The last of the orders will be in early this week and then I will be able to chill out with the family!
