Maybe it was the bright and airy studio. Maybe it was just his awake time or maybe it was listening to me talk to him the whole time. But man…we loved it! LOL

We recent’y had the opportunity to work with my next client Beth who is just about to launch her website Breathe in Life right here in the Durham Region. Beth needed something light and airy to reflect her Brand and help to promote herself in our community. She specializes in core energy and therapy for the mind, body and spirit. She offers sessions for individuals as well as couples.
Beth knew that taking on a big and exciting project she would need some assistance so she hired the ever clever and awesome people over at AJ Creative to help her with the website. Beth’s Branding session was a 2 part. We did some in studio of a more lifestyle setting and some in her space in Whitby. I am excited to see how her website will come together for her. Meanwhile here are some sneak peaks from our session together!

I can’t express how much I love seeing my repeat families grow! You guys are too cute! Congratulations to you and yes you are doing an amazing job! Mama to mama I get it! I know what you are going through and remember the hard days. Heck…I have 2 teenagers who am I kidding…it’s still hard some days LOL. But that said, the GOOD days far out weigh the crappy ones.
Thank you I & D for bringing your sweet girls in for their milestones and for allowing me to capture these moments for you and your family! I can’t wait to see them grow!

Do you ever come across a mom to be and think to yourself…OMG she is just gorgeous and has natural beauty? Do you say to yourself, I would LOVE to photograph her? And before you know it you are babbling like a fool? NO? Ugh just me then lol.
That is typically the way it goes for me when I am out in public. I introduce myself and share what I do. I get so excited I end up giggling and before you know it the mom to be is in stitches and blushing over the compliments from this crazy lady in front of her lol.
This next mom to be I have been connecting with for the better part of a year now and knew that when she announced that she was expecting her 3rd I could not wait to photograph her. She exhumes this regal, calm and confidant mama that we all wish we could pull off as well as she does. Don’t get me wrong, she is stern and takes control with her littles when needed but her aura is captivating.
Meet Sahiya! She is one of our communities local Bloggers, Brand Repper and busy mom of 2. She came into the studio a few months ago for me to capture her last baby belly. Clean, simple and elegant transitions was the vision for her session. She was totally comfortable here and with subtle moves to guide her from one frame to another her shoot was flawless. We chatted, laughed, reflected and dreamed together during these fleeting moments in time. Sidenote…mamas I hear you.. You have shared with me some hard things. Some sad things and some growing things lately. I hear you.
Motherhood is a beautiful thing. However in the same breath, motherhood is one of the hardest jobs in the world. Postpartum takes a toll on you. You don’t feel like yourself and don’t know why. It is normal, it is SO common and it is OK to reach out and ask for help and support. This doesn’t make you any less strong, any less a “good mom” or wife. Having been there myself I know what you are going through. Please know that if you needed an extra ear to vent to, reach out to, or just simple be around. I am here for you too!
You got this…whether you feel like you do or not. Trust me…you got this.

Earlier this week I posted over on Instagram about the most frequently asked question when it comes to Personal Branding Sessions. “What to wear?” I have nothing…help! ;)
Breathe and relax lol..it should not be complicated and stress you out! My advice to you is to wear what makes you feel good and put together. There is no need to pull your hair out over it. However in the same breath you want to represent yourself as authentic and professional as possible. You are selling yourself. Your Brand and your Service.
Style yourself as you normally would and when in doubt I am here to help. If you choose outfits and or clothing that you don’t normally wear and are uncomfortable and stuffy…trust me…that will show in your photographs too lol.
Be you! Smile and relax. You got this!
During my Personal Branding consults we go over what to expect, needs, visions, settings and the overall “feel” of your session you need. Maybe you are rebranding? Maybe just starting out. Whatever the reason, I am here to walk you through things. A Pinterest Link will be sent to you for a reference guide ( if you need it) on clothing options and tips for your niche.
I also suggest when in doubt, come with a change of outfits. Sometimes once in studio or on location the vibe does a 360 and you’ll change your mind. At the end of the day, yes clothing plays a huge part but it’s YOU we are focusing on. Your STORY and what YOU have to offer. Let’s not get too consumed with trends and the latest fashion fad.

Over this past year I have had the pleasure of working with so many amazing moms, friends, new customers and brides from Aspen Florist. It never ceases to amaze me how much I love working with my clients and being able to journey with them as they grow their little families.
Meet Isla, she just turned ONE. This sweet little pudding I have had the utmost pleasure of watching and documenting her as she has grown in her short life already. Thank you Amy for allowing and trusting us tp do so for you. I am sure you recognize her from our posts on Instagram and know that she is not a stranger to our feeds. I mean how could we not post and share. Just look at that face!
For Isla’s First Birthday we celebrated her session with some gorgeous peonies, greenery and soft pastel tones which were STUNNING. I don’t know how Lisa from Aspen Florist does it but she nails the colours and floral combo’s with our sweet littles every single time. I swear she has ESP lol. Here is a sampling of what we captured that day!
